    2024-2025 Overlanders Registration

    NEW TO THE DIVISION?

If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.

    **CONFIRMING NEW REGISTRATION SUBMISSION**

Once you have submitted your completed student registration form and submitted supporting documents, we will review all of the documents. This does not mean your child is enrolled at the school. We will contact you to let you know your child is enrolled by March 27, 2024.

For the 2024-2025 school year, Overlanders School is full in planned classes for Kindergarten to Grade 6 in the regular program. A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We only accept resident students in Grades 1-6 who have newly moved into the school's attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.

    CLOSED BOUNDARY SCHOOL FOR 2024-2025

Overlanders School is a level 2 closed boundary school for the 2024-2025 school year. Current students are not affected by this change should they wish to continue at the school.

As outlined in Division regulations, the only new students accepted to our school during pre-enrolment are:

    1. Resident students who live within the attendance area.

    2. Siblings of current students who will be returning to the school the following year.

If the student you are registering or pre-enrolling meets one of thee criteria for the 2024-2025 school year, please register them online (new students) or pre-enrol through SchoolZone (existing students).

Following pre-enrolment at 4pm on March 22, 2024, the school will only accept resident students who have newly moved into the attendance area or resident students eligible for Kindergarten.

Additional documentation will be required, including address documents, or immigration documents for students who are not Canadian Citizens.

Principal's Message

Welcome!

At Overlanders school, we strive to create high quality learning experiences for our students. We believe that every child has unique gifts and talents, and that these should be recognized and shared as a part of creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive school community.

Our staff work collaboratively to promote a culture of high expectations for students both academically and socially. Staff meet our students where they are at in order to enhance pathways for student success. We offer a range of programs to support student needs, and see diversity as a strength. Because of this belief, we are committed to supporting each student in developing their skills and abilities to their full potential, as indicated in our new school vision statement, “Wonder, Explore, Achieve”.

We also believe that student success is achieved through strong relationships between the school, parents, and the community. We welcome the opportunity to work with our parents as partners in education, and encourage participation in our school community, when possible and safe to do so.

This year we will be grounding our school's focus on a Culture of Kindness and we look forward to connecting our focus to our school’s vision. Throughout the year we will be working through our assemblies and family groups to make the underlying theme of “kindness” come alive.

I look forward to celebrating the successes of all of our students over the coming school year.
